Is Twitter Dangerous?

Yes, right? It already is.. Religious leaders, political groups, activists, and businesses are already hacking the protocol to serve their needs.

I STRONGLY disagree with Nicole about finding technological solutions for abuse. That’s just a cat and mouse game. No system can be insulated from negative intent. People are clever and will find a way to circumvent. The solution to abuse is the community. The culture will preserve itself fervently by banishing and disempowering party foulers. Supporters will rally against the Haters, and if you provide means for the community to police itself it will, but you can’t expect filters or bots or any tool to resolve this problem for you. That’s why it is so critical for SOMEBODY to define the social policy. It doesn’t necessarily have to be carved in stone or written down for that matter, it just needs to be expressed by cultivators and leadership.
